Noise Ordinance Policy
It is the sole responsibility of the guest(s) to adhere to Lake Burton Rental’s Quiet Hours. Quiet hours begin at 10:00pm and end at 8:00am. Lake Burton Rentals will offer one opportunity for guest(s) to reduce noise if any complaints are made. If a second complaint is made, the local authorities will be called, and this may justify guest(s) and visitor eviction. All monies paid will be surrendered. No credits, refunds or rate reductions will be offered should a guest be asked to reduce noise or for any early departures due to eviction.
No person shall at any property managed by Lake Burton Rentals or in any motor vehicle parked at or located at any property managed by Lake Burton Rentals, use, operate or play any radio, phonograph, stereo set, tape or CD player, television, sound amplifier, musical instrument, or other device which produces or reproduces sound, at a level which interferes with a person’s peaceful enjoyment or the peace and tranquility of the surrounding area at a distance more than 30 feet from the sound source.
No person shall make, cause, allow, or permit the operation of any continuous source of sound when measured at or beyond the real property line a level that exceeds 70 dBA or 70 dBC. Noise over 70 dcb is subject to the noise ordinance.
Any excessive noise of any kind including loud vehicles, talking or shouting, or music emanating from any home, which results in complaints will be addressed by the local police department.
